THE RECENT INSUBORDINATION AT . NELSON.
(BRESS ASSOCIATION TELTSQRAM.) WELLINGTON, March 21. Lieut.-Colonel Pitt has recommended the dismissal of nineteen non-commissioned officers and privates of the Nelson Coastguards, who took part in the recent act of insubordination in refusing to fall in at a district parade, because the corps was not given its old place at the head of the column. The proposed term. of. disqualification is seven years. The colonel is holding over the cases oi twelve other privates until he has consulted the Commandant of the Forces.
Corporal Symes and Bombardier Johnston of the E Battery have been appointed Sergeants, and Bombardier Lezard has been appointed CorporaL .An examination for corporals and bombardiers will take place on Tuesday, 29th inst. The annual smoker concert and presentation of trophies in connection with the B Battery will take place in the orderly room-to-night. Capt. Donald has just been under an operation to have a broken needle extracted from his foot. Rontgen rays were vied to find the needle. It is doubtful if he will be able to attend the Easter camp, but Lteute. M'Nisoll and Cowlishaw will be there.
