PRESIDENT'S CUP MATCHES.

The game between the Midland and Sydenham No. 1 teams was brought to a conclusion at Sydenham on Saturday, when the former won by an innings and 49 runs. Scores :—Sydenham, 58 a»d 69 (Airey 14, and O. Caygill and H. Rowe 13 each ; Midland, 176. In the losers' second innings Costelloe took five wickets for 16 runs.

The match United v Midland was continued at Haqley Park. Scores :—United, 80 and 179 (filunden 51 and 41, Maude 10, Harper 28, Ormsby 38, Winstone 11, Cook 16 not out); Midland, 71 and 56 for seven wickets (Cullen 12, Burrell 30 and 19, Norman 10, and Buchanan 16 not out). Blunden, Bowring and Louisson bowled well for U.C.C., and Norman, Burrell and Buchanan for the Midland.
