SYDENHAM AMATEUR SWIMMING CLUB.
The 50 Yards Maiden Handicap was decided on Thursday, at 5.30 p.m. Mr J. A.. Caygill made an efficient starter. Results :—First heat—E. Day, scr, 1; H. Walker, Bsec, 2. W. Woodward 7sec, T. Fox 3sec, F. Hall 2sec, also competed. Second heat—E. A. Mapplebeck 1, F. C. Cooper, 6sec, 2. D. Carey, 6sec, also started. Final heat—E. Day, scr, 1; H. Walker, Bsec, 2. F. C. Cooper, 6sec, and E. A. Mapplebeck, 9sec, also started. * At a Committee meeting of the Club, there were present, Messrs C. Kent (in the chair), W. Woodward, W. Howison, A. H. Cooper, A. Denham, W. Betts, J. Sibbald, A. Russell, E. Grover (hon. sec). A vote of sympathy wAs accorded to Mr T. Wauchop, in his severe illness. Arrangements were made for the annual smoke concert and presentation of prizes.
