The Avondale Jockey Club opened its autumn meeting to-day. The attendance was 1800. The weather waa wet. The sum of £1322 was put through the totalisator. On the first two races the tickets were 10a, afterwards £1. Results .-—Maiden Plate Handicap, seven furlongs — Thelma 1, Brilliant 2, Blairina 3. Time, lmin 37£3ec. Dividend, £3 12s. Handicap Hurdles, two miles—Pr.nsy 1, Hairy Legs 2. No other starters. Time, 4miu32sec. Dividend, 18a. St. Patrick's Handicap, one and a quarter miles—Korowai 1, Lufra 2, Lillie 3. Time, 2min 17Jeec. Dividend, £11 3s. Pouy Handicap, seven furlongs— Fair Nell 1, Napoleon 2, St. Owen 3. Time, lmin 35sec. Dividend, £4 10s. Handicap* Steeplechase, about three miles—Glenlora 1, Mozel 2. The only other starter, Pansy, fell. Time, 7min 14sec. Dividend, £3 18s. Hack Handicap, one mile—Brilliant I, My Sweetheart 2, Brigham Young 3. Time, lmin 52sec. Dividend, £2 Is.
