Addington United No. 2 at Sydenham, the former winning by ten wickets. Scores :— Sydenham 51 (Turton 21) and 76 (White 16, Turton 17 and Yates 12) ; Lancaster Park 117 and 9 (Roberts 55, Preece 14, Hale 27 and Marriott 11). Turton, Farrant and Smith bowled well forthe losers, andHervey, Woledge and Robert- for the winners. The Spreydon (!.C. met and dofeated Avonside C.C. on Saturday by 10 runs ou the first innings. Gray (10) and Weston (12) were the principal run-getters for Spreydon, and Griffin and Montague (12 each) were top for Avonside. Gray and Weston and Griffin and Cropp divided the bowling for Spreydon and Avonside respectively. Sydenham Mission played Kaiapoi at Kaiapoi on Saturday. The former scored 54 (Baird 22, Minitie 12) and 62 (D. Petrie 22, Baird 16). Kaiapoi made 85 (H. Oram 25, Pickering 11, D. Brown 10). For the winuers J. Bate and D. McGregor bowled best, while Minitie and Wilson handled the ball best for the visitors. A match, Cust v Rangiora, was played on Saturday on the ground of the latter. Cust scored 92 (Blmulen 35, T. Chapman 16) ; Rangiora 70 (Reeves 22, Helmore 17). A match was played at Hagley Park on Thursday between the Hardware and Hagley Park Clubs. Scores :—Hardware 148 for eight wickets (Turner 109 not out, C. R. Frankish 19); Hagley Park 78 (S. W T ilson 35 not out, H. Deal 10). Turner showed very good form in compiling his century. Page, for the winners, captured seven wickets for 32 runs, and Medlow bowled best for the losers. A match was played at Lytteiton on Saturday between the Linwood first eleven and the Lytteiton second eleven, resulting in a win for Linwood by an innings and 15 runs. The scores were :—Linwood, 102 (S. Poore 27, L. Taylor 19, T. Thompson 13, F. Townsend 13 and K. Kite 10) ; Lytteiton, 34 (Mahar 9) and 53 (Thompson 21 not out and Oliver 10). For Linwood, Thompson, Toomer and Fleming did the bowling, and Oliver and Rich did best for Lytteiton.
