UNIVERSITY EXAMINATIONS.
The candidates for the November University examinations show an increase this year to 427 from 405 last year. There are nine entries for the special medical examination, the same as last year. The first and final sections of the B.A. degree examination show an aggrecjate falling eff of three. There are 20 candidates for the several sections of the B.S. degree, against 24 last year, and 35 for the LL.B. examination, against 32 last year. For the TS.Mus. there are three entries. La3t year there wero four. Altogether there are 59 candidates for the various grades of the M.B. and Ch.B. degrees, against 56 last year. There are 20 students for senior scholarships, against 15 last year, aud 97 for the law professional examinations, a«ainst 62 last year. For the December examinations there are 769 candidates this year, against 735 last year. Of these, 596 are candidates for the matricuculation examination. The total number, of candidates for the two examinations is 1205 this year, against 1149 last year.
