(PRSSS ASSOCIATION TKLKGRAM.) AUCKLAND, August 27. Yesterday, when driving from Onehunga to Auckland, the Governor made a brief stop at Epsom to receive a presentation from the Chinese residing there. They had arranged a large bouquet, with a few words of welcome. On the approach of hie Excellency they all stopped work, Chinese men, women and children, to make the presentation, which was formally done by Mint» Quong. Afterwards there was a general shaking of hands.

The Governor has received a cablegram from the Premier congratulating him and Lady Ranfurly on their arrival in the colony, and expressing the kindest wishes for their future happiness. His Excellency intends taking a driving tour through the Middle Island in January, in order to make himself acquainted with the country.
