COOKERY CLASSES.
At a meeting of the Wellington Education Board yesterday, a deputation representing the Workers' Union and Women's Democratic Union waited on the Board urging the introduction of cooking classes in the Board's schools. After a discussion, the Chairman again assured the deputation that the Board was anxious that instruction in the subject should be extended throughout the school district, and would do what was possible to attain this end.
