In the produce yards, sales by Mr A. P. Tutton—-Heavy crossbred sheepskins 3s 6d to 4s 9d, medium 2s 9d to 3s 6d, merino 2s 6d to 3s 6d, light skins Is 6d to 2s 3d, hides 24d lb, fat 7s to 9s ewt, fowls Is 6d to 3s pair, chickwheat 2s 9d to 3s 6d bushel, milling and seed do 3s lOd to 4s 3d, feed barley 2s 6d to 3s, oats 2s to 2s 6d, beans 2s 9d, .do crushed 3s, peas (blues) 4s 6d, do (dun) 3s 3d, oatsheaf chaff 60s to 65* ton, straw do 355, potatoes 40s, carrots 20s, bran 80s, sharps 85s, flour (farmers') 15s to 20s, do (guaranteed) 245. At the North Canterbury Yards there was an entry of 1000 sheep; the market for freezing wethers improved from 9d to Is per head, and the prices were 15s 7d to 16s, for crossbred ewes in lamb 9s to lis 3d, store wethers lis 6d to 12s 7d, hoggets 8s 4d to 12s.
