Dku.nkbnnkss. — Walter Bates was charged with being found helplessly drunk in Hereford street. As he appeared to be suffering from the effects of drink, he waa remanded till August 30th for medical treatment.

Civil Cases.—Walter A. Wood v Leahy, claim £20. Mr Cowlishaw, for the creditor, sought to proceed on judgment summons. Mr Bates, for the debtor, objected that when he confessed judgment the creditor gave him until October 14th to pay, and the proceedings must fail, 1-vidence and argument had been heard on a previous day, and his Worship now said that until the grace had expired the creditor could not go on, and dismissed the case. Jackman v Leahy, claim £12 on judgment summons. Mr Donnelly for the plaintiff, Mr Bates fcr the debtor. Long evidence was heard, and the case was adjourned for the production of other witnesses till August 30th. Gould and Lewis and Thompson v Dowell, claim £15 lis, unpaid instalments on the payment for a piano. Mr Wilding appeared for the plaintiffs, for whom judgment was given with costs. Judgments went for plaintiffs by default with costs in Gould and Lewis v Milne, £12 Bs, and Raphael v Noonan, £15.
