Yesterday another attempt was made to raise the barque Coromandel by the use of centrifugal pumping appliances, and at one stage the depth of water in the hold had been decreased four feet forward. The gear, however, in a slight measure gave way, and it was decided to stop further operations until an opportune moment. No magisterial enquiry will be held on the stranding of the Aororeat Patea.
