H.M.S. Orlando leaves this port for Sydney on Monday next. The barque Asia sailed from the Thames with a cargo of white pine timber for Melbourne. The disabled barque Sea King was towed down from Chelsea yesterday afternoon and berthed at the Hobson street wharf, where the work of caulking and repairing the vessel is proceeding. The steamer Manaroa has been launched for Mr Cross, of Wellington. Welungtox, March 6. Arrived—Pukaki, from Auckland, with the Arawata in tow; Wakatipu, from Lyt*
telton ; Mahinapua, from New Plymouth. At 1 p.m.—Gothic, from London via way ports. She left London on January 22nd, Capetown on February 12th, Hobart at 5 p.m., on Wednesday last. Passengers — Misses Thornton, Isett, Knight, Cooper, Duncan, Armstrong, Kirke, Treadwell and Hassall, Mesdames Knight, McGregor, Eason, McFarlaae, Litchneld and Simons and family, Messrs Walker, Earls, Grant, McGregor, Chaffer, Nicholls, Simons, Yorke, McDonald, Latofil, Cook.
Corinna, for Lyttelton. Yesterday another attempt was made to raise the barque Coromandel by the use of centrifugal pumping appliances, and at one stage the depth of water in the hold had been decreased four feet forward. The gear, however, in a slight measure gave way, and it was decided to stop further operations until an opportune moment. No magisterial enquiry will be held on the stranding of the Aororeat Patea.
