Prats Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. London, Maroh 8. The total quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 2,880,000 quarters, and for the Continent 560,000 quarters.
Tallow—Medium mutton 18s 9d ; beef fine 18s 3d; medium 17s 3d. The American visible wheat supply is estimated at 61,664,000 bushels.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Limited, have received the * following cablegrams from their head office, dated London, 2nd inst. :—
"Wool—Market firm, and a good business has been done privately at 2\ per cent, over public sale bids." 3rd inst.
" Since our last telegram (February 25th) mutton and mixed tallow is unchanged. Any change in price of beef tallow is in favour of buyers."
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following London cable message, dated March 2nd:— " Wool—Since close of the sales there has been some business by private treaty at fully previous rates, the sales comprising 1000 bales, chiefly medium and inferior greasy. Sheepskins—Market steady. Butter— Market lifeless—Fine qualities New Zealand range in value from 90s to 94s per cwt. (Last quotations were 92s to 965)."
