-0_ The following nominations have been received for the Drainage Board seats :— North-East Christchurch — Messrs H. Laing and W. E. Samuels. North-West Chrischurch—Mr C. Palairet (former member) elected unopposed. South-East Christchurch — Mr J. W. McAlpine and Mr Edward Smith. South-West Christchurch —Mr Hill Fisher (former member) elected unopposed. Sydenham—Messrs R. M. Taylor and B. M. Muffett. Avon—Mr Chas. Burgess (former member) elected unopposed. Heatheote—Mr Geo. Mclntyre (former member) elected unopposed. Riccarton—Mr John Deans (former member) elected unopposed. Spreydon—Messrs John Dunn and John Henry Hewitt. The poll for the contested districts will take place on January sth.
