' Alleged Horse Stealing. — Andrew ' Henry Yeadon, a very small boy, who had previously been convicted of entering and - stealing from a shop and discharged with a caution, was charged with having stolen on 1 December 15th a horse, saddle and bridle, 1 valued at £17, the property of Wm. Smith. 1 On the application of the police he was re- ' manded to be dealt with by the Stipendiary 1 Magistrate on the following day. Alleged Larceny.—Harry Fuller was charged with having, on July 17th, at Braburn, stolen a cheque for £12 12s, the property of E. O'Connor. On the application of the police he was remanded till December ' 23rd, to appear at Nelson, in which province the offence was alleged to have been committed. Unregistered Dogs. —-For keeping unregistered dogs in Sydenham, J. McSaveny, W. D. Lilly, Jas. Edmonds, Jas. E. Coxhead, Jos. Baldwin and N. Columbus were each fined 10s, Thos. Sutton and 0. Sierskowski each ss, all with 7s costs added. Miscellaneous. — Florence . McConnell, for allowing the chimney of her house in ', Tuam street to take fire was fined ss, with 7s costs.— L. Way, for riding a bicycle on a footpath in Riccarton Road was fined ss, with 7s costs.—F. G. Harris, for trespassing on the North line railway, near Papanui, was convicted and discharged with a caution. ,
