ROAD BOARD.
WESTEYRETON.
The monthly meeting of this Board was held on December; 14th. Present —Messrs Addinell (Chairman), Conway, Hoirell, Hunter and Smith. Messrs Tallott and Ruddenklau, on behalf of the Cust Road Board, requested this Board to pay half the cost of lowering the pipes across Collier's Boundary road, al-o to ptit in pipes across the road at tho large lagoon, Mr Ruddenklau agreeing to pay one-third of the cost. Agreed to. It was resolved that as Mr O'Farrell and £pn have ceased to act as rangers their appointment as registrars of dogs ■be cancelled, and that William McDowell he appointed registrar of dogs at 6d per collar. The Clerk- was directed to write to the ganger requesting him to b£ energetic in ''"sgirry-ing out his duties, especially as- "regards the plantations. It was resolve-fc that the registration fee for all dogs, other than sheep and cattle dogs, be 7s 6d, and that the" Bbkss be the official paper of tliis Board for the year 1897. The Surveyor was directed' to invite tenders for the concrete eulyiirt across Chapman's Boundary road ; to'have the top' rail taken out of and put a barb wire instead on the fence fronting the road on reserve No. 1860; and erect a fence along Pester-a road, fronting reserve No. 1321. Accounts amounting to £75 16s lOd were passed.
