MELBOURNE BETTING.
September 13. Though there was very little actual wagering over the Metropolitan Stakes last night, prices have considerably changed consequent on yesterday's racing. Rackarock fs now nominal favorjte at 5 to 1, with Right Honorable next in demand at 8 to 1, and after this pair, Nada, Fort, Charge, Response, Destiny and True Blue are enquired after at 10 to 1. After his victory in the Spring Stakes Newhaven was installed a very warm favourite for the V.R.C. Derby, and all the available money in the market at sto 2 and then at 2 to 1 was eagerly snapped up, after which the best price on offer was 6 to 4.
