The following were the Saturday midday quotations:—Big River 22s 6cl to 23a 6d, BuUcr Dredge 7s to 7s 6rt, Cocksparrow Dredge 2s 3d to 2h 6d, Cumberland 3s to 3s 3d, Dillon Extended 2s to 2-s 3d, Exchange Is 9d to 2s, Golden Lead 2s 3d to 2s 6d, Hercnloa 3s to 3s 3d, Humphrey's Gully (old issue) 5s to 5s 6d, Inglewood Is to Is 3d, Lyell Creek 2s to 2s 3d, Lord Evir.--.rd Is 9d to 2s, Keep It Bark 20s to 21s, ir.. 2 South Dark 2s to 2s 3d, Success 10d to Is, Alpine l_6s to 17s, United Italy Is 3d to Is 6d, Welcome 2s 3d to 2s 6d. The following were the weekly returns:— Cockeparrow, 38oz 17dwts 12grs for 101 hours (mats only); Sir F. Drake, 340z of gold from 110 tons (clean up). The Buller Dredge returns will be to hand on Monday. The manager of the Big River reports that the reef found on tho surface last week has been followed for a length of twenty feet, the rubble throughout allowing gold. The reef in. the Exchange is turning out solid and hard, five feet has been sunk on it.
