TO THE EDITOR OF TUG PRE... Sir, —In your critique of the above, referring to the successful debut of Miss Alice Gray, you congratulate Miss Fairhurst upon the gratifying result of her tuition, with so promising a pupil, but I am sure Miss Fairhurst will agree with mc in acknowledging that the credit is more due to the two years' training under Mr Wells than the short period (some two months, I believe) that Miss Gray has had the advantage of Miss Fairhurst's teaching.—Yours, etc., Th.s.
