Sir, —In your critique of the above, referring to the successful debut of Miss Alice Gray, you congratulate Miss Fairhurst upon the gratifying result of her tuition, with so promising a pupil, but I am sure Miss Fairhurst will agree with mc in acknowledging that the credit is more due to the two years' training under Mr Wells than the short period (some two months, I believe) that Miss Gray has had the advantage of Miss Fairhurst's teaching.—Yours, etc., Th.s.
