TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS.
Snt, —As the Sydenham borough's revenue has been considerably reduced for several years past, and liable to be less, also the overdraft at the Bank steadily increasing, will Mr Joseph Murray state in the columns of the Press how he intends to obtain an efficient and economic finance for the borough. His circular is silent as to his method, and it is necessary that ratepayers should have his plan of operation, since he finds so much objection with the Finance and Works Committee's administration.— Yours, &c, Poor Ratepayer. Sydenham, September sth, 1896.
