THE LITTLE BARRIER ISLAND.
The Little Barrier Island troubles have not ceased yet. There is a Permanent Force man stationed on the island in order to see that the birds on the Governmeut reserve are not molested, but Tenehahi, the Native ex-owner, who was given leave by tho Magistrate's Court to remove his stock running in the bush on the island, i 3 still living on the island with his family, presumably catching his cattle, sheep and pigs for removal to his place at Omaha. The Crown Lands authorities, however, havenow concluded that they will have to catcli Tenehahi's animals for him if they are to get him away from the island within the next ten years, and, accordingly the Ccnimissioiier of Crown Lands at Auckland now calls for tenders '"' for removing from the Island and landing in Auckland about fifteen head of cattle, 100 sheep and twelve pigs, now unlawfully running on the Island. The stock will have to be collected by successful tenderer/ .
