DISTURBING THE FIRE ALARM SYSTEM.
At the Police Conrb yesterday, before Messrs G. Peyling and E. O'Connor, 0.P. , e, Ernest Hancock (15) tind George Percy (11) were charged with having, on May 26th, iuv jured a fire alarm gUuB to the value of 2s oa; the property of the Council. They were also charged with having on. the same date wilfully given a false alarm of fire. The boys admitted the offence, and SergeantMajor Mason explained that one boy had broken the glass and the other had pnlled the handle. Hβ quoted the Act under which the charge was laid and spoke of ..the. gravity of the offence. The Bench severely reprimanded the boys for such conduct, which caused great expense, and convioted them, ordering them to ctfme up for sentence when called upon and to payl7e Gα each expenses,
