WELLINGTON. April 9. At a meeting of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association, the Chairman moved *he adoption of the proposals made by Mr J. Stuckey, to the effect that before any horses in tbe breeding classes are allowed to enter the judging ring they must be examined by at least two veterinary surgeons, and only those animals which are pronounced as free from hereditary disease be placed before tbe judges. At the same time he thought that one veterinary surgeon waa sufficient, and be amended the motion to that effect. The motion as amended was carried unanimously, and left to the Executive Committee to give effect to. It was resolved, on the motion of Dr. Newman— " That at all sales of sheep held under the auspices of the Association all sheep entered in the New Zealand Flock Book have priority in order of sale over those not entered-" Mr G. H. Scales waa appointed Secretary.
