SERVANI'S' HALF-HOLIDAY.
TO TUB EDITOR OF THK PRESS. Sib, — Will you kiudly allo.v mc, through the valuable columns of your paper, to ask how it is tnat some practical gentleman does not endeavour to obtain the general servants a halt-holiday ? They have allowed the ladies a voce, why not give our hardworking servaut girls a half-day waekly, as well as us men ? They have much longer hours, and yet tney have nothing to look forward too. It is a gross shame for us to stand by and see them work and sUve for others. Hoping some oue else will have a voice. —Yours, &c., A. A. N.
