At the Wairar»pa Club's races Voltaire won the Telegraph Haudioap, Prince Cole the Eister Handicap, and Legislator the Oten Welter. No totalhator was allowed. April 7.
Fine weather favoured the Wairarapa, Jockey Club for the second day of tne meeting. Results :—Winter O-vta Handicap —Voltaire 1, Salute 2; these were the only atarters; betting, 3tol on Voltaire. Hack Hurdles—Mako Mako 1, Bird 2, Frisco 3 : bettiug, 5 to 1 against the winner. Moroa Handicap —Peraimmon 1, Sir Agnee 2, Dissenter 3. , BettiDg, 5 to 1 agst the winuer. Steward's Handicap—Sea Serpent 1, Review 2, Revolution 3. Betting, 4 to 1 agst the winner. County Hack—Springtimo 1, Nero 2. Betting, 2 to 1 agst the winner. Farewell Handicap — Voltaire. Betting, 5 to 1 agst the winner.
