(FROM OUR CORRESPOtfPBKT.) AUCKLAND, April 7. The Auckland Racing CUub's Autumn Meeting was cominued to-day at Ellerelie. The weather was overcast and threatening, and one or two slight t-howera fell- Lord and Lvly Glasgow and party from Government House weie present, and the attendance was good. The Autumn Handicap produced au exciting finish, Fabulist winning by a neck from Folly, while half a length away was the favourite, Acone. The w*e a moat popular one, Fabulist being .heartily cheered on returning to scale. In the Steeplechase Bombardier was beut to the post a favourite* He etood up throughout the journey, but suffered defeat at the hands of the lightlyweighted Carbuncle. Hcaltheen was first to land on the top of the hill, with Bombardier next, then came Kildare and Carbuucle. Scaltheen led Carbuncle four lengths up the hill on the last round, the same distance between Carbuncle and Bombardier, then came Kiugawooil. Wh*n the hill was decended Carbuncle was at the head of ftifoiri, and ehe led Scdtheen over the atone wall by two lengths, which she increased to three coming into the straight.
