RE.STOCKING THE MACKENZIE STATIONS.
A3 some exhibition of feeling has been shown by a'section of the community on account of the Railway Department running atock trains on the last three Sundays, it may be explains;! that- the sheep carried by these trains are intended for the Mackenzie country stations which suffered such loss fast winter. But for the trains the sheep would have to be driven an exhausting journey over 200 miles. On week days the exijj«nuies of the passenger and goods traffic would delay the stock trains for many hours in shunting and waiting for trains to cross, and thus entail loss of sheep from hunger and thirst and cramp.
