JUNIOR CUP MATCHES.
The return match between the Midland and LTuited Clubs was commenced a. Hagley Park on Saturday, when the former went iv first and, batting one man short, made tha good scoro of 235. Richards waa top scorer with a well played 64, while Stephenson made 39, Robertson, junr., 38, Robertson, seur., 25, L_na 21, Evans 16 and White 12. W. and T. D. Harman were the most successful bowlers. The United had about half an hour's batting. T. D. Harman aud Marshall scored 32 without either losing their wicket; the former scoriug 17 and the latter 15. Lancaster Park defeated the High School by an innings and ;S0 runs. Scores —High School, 57 t Williams 16) and 24 (Sandstein 12); Lancaster Park, 161 (Cant 52, Pavitt 28, Smith 18, F. O'Brien 16 and F. H. Labatt 13 not out). 0. R. Smith, O'Brien and Qninn bowled well for the winners, who Datted two men short, and Ross trundled best for the School. Sydenham and Addiugton v S\ Albans — The latter batted first and totalled 42, of which C. Colville made 18. Sydenham followed with 67 (Caygill 21 not out and .101 l 16). In their second innings St. Albans have scored 49 for two wickets. Rowe took six wickets for 14 runs for Sydenham, aud Ritchie -secured six for 18 runs for St. Albaas. T. Lawrence also bowled well.
