PRESIDENT'S CUP MATCHES.
The St. Albans v Midland No. 1 teams commenced a match at Hagley P„rk on Saturday, wheu tho foi iner had the advantage after each side had had an innings. Scores :—Midland 91 (Gapes 22, Mansell 21, Barge 14 and Manson 11) ; St. Albans 134 (Lawrence 53, Eldridge 32 not; out, and Chapman aud Pearce 16 each). Chapman bowled best foe St. Albaus, and Ryan, Munford and Manson divided the wickets for tho Midland. Sydenham v the Midland No. 2 teams began a match at Sydenham on Saturday, when the former had the best of the game. Scores—Midland 69 (Strange 31 and Mitchell 19); Sydeuham 127 (Grammer 38, Rowe 25, Robson 20, and Ayrey 13) and 7 for two wickets. Freeman bowled well for Sydenham, as 'Jid Strang, for Lhe Midland. Tlie match United No. 1 v Warwick House waa won by the United by default. The United No. 2—Christ : s College No. 2 match was played ou Saturday, when the former, who went iv firat, had slightly the best of the day.* play. United made 133 (Wilson 14, G. Weston 11, A. R. Blunden 18, Robiu.ou 21, Aitken 27, Gresson 11, Todhuutcr 20 not out); College 61 for six wickets (Moore 15 not out, Cotterill 13). The best College bowhu- waa W. G. Weston, and tho best bowlers for United were A. R. Blunden and Robinson. Lancaster Park A v Lancaster Park B. The B team, batting first, made 115, batting one man short. Bromley contributed 48 by hard hitting, E. Steeds 16, A. Steeds 12, Tolan 11. The A team lost seven wickets for 109. Hamilton made 31 not out, M. Steeds 23, Johnston IS, Pavitt 11 not ouc, Manning 12. Johnston bowled bust for the A, getting six.for sixty, and Mason for the B team bowled well.
