Auckland, January 27. § The various matches in connection with 1 the Cricket Association's Championship § competitions were resumed on Saturday ia | fine weather. In the Senior Competition, Gordon were all dismissed by Auckland for 87, to whicli the latter replied with 198 for two wickets only. In tho other SGnioi match, United made 92 as against Par_elTj 114 for 5 wickets. As there will U insufficient time to complete a second intt. ings Parnell and Auckland have, therefore, practically won their respective games, in which case the three clubs will now be all on an equal footing with four wins and'thre* losses each, Auckland v, Gordon. Auckland opened their innings with Arneil arid Tliomas, who took the scote to 56 without mishap, but the latter was then caught ab point by Gould after a carefully played innings of 27.
