(press association telegram.) GISBOUNE, January 22. The Gieborne Racing Club's Summer Meeting commenced to-day. The weather is glorious and the attendance largo. Following are the results :— FLYING HANDICAP, of 50 soys; six furlongs— Seijuali, 7st 101b, 1; Moonntker, 9st Blb, 2 ; Strowan, Bst 121b, 3. Dividend, £2 18s. The Catch Weights Race was won by Campaspe. Dividend. £4. FIRST HURDLES, of 50 soys; one mile and a half Hop Garden, 9st, 1; Donald MuKinnon, 12at 101b, 2 ; Tally-Ho, 10st61b, 3. PRESIDENT'S HANDICAP, of 100 soys; one mile and a quarter—Retribution, fist 101b, 1; King Cannibal, 7st 121b, 2 ; Sequah, Bst, 3. Nine started. Won by a length and a half. Dividend, £11 Hfc. Time, 2min 13aec. The Hack Race was won by Huna. Dividend, £3 Bs. Time, lmin 18*ec. SHORTS HANDICAP, of 30 soys; five furlong— Pakipaki 1, Nightingale 2, Creeper 3. Dividend, £2 Bs. Time, lmin ssec. PARK STAKES, of 50 soys; one mile and a distance— Cocheco, 7st 91b, 1. Dividend, £7 10j. Time, 2imnl£3oc. The starting machine, a local invention, was a great success, splendid starts in nearly every instance being effected.
