DOMAIN BOARD.
The Domain Board met yesterday in the City Council Chambers. Present—Mr H. P. Murray-Aynsley (in the chair), the Mayors of Christchurch aud Sydenham, Messrs R. J. S. Harman and W. Jacques. Messrs A. C'arrick and H. A. Bruce, the Chairman and Secretary of the Acclimatisation Society, waited on the Board as a deputation, stating that if fishing were prohibited between the Armagh street bridge and the Riccarton bsud the rauge would be too limited. The deputation also asked the Board to allow the matter to stand over tor this season, on the condition that fishermen must have permission in writing from an official of the Board before being allowed to fish on the Board's property. It was decided to inform them that for the present season those holding licenses would be allowed to fiah in the Domain as formerly. The receipts for the past year were shown to be £772 10s 10J, and t,he expenditure £668 2b 4J, leaving a balance in the Bank of £104 8s 6d. The Chairman stated that a place had been selected a little below the island, where fires might be made by those holding permits from the Board. Tho annual meeting of the Board was then held, when Mr Murray-Aynsley was re-elected Chairman. The Chairman, Messrs Harman, Bowen, Jacques and Bsswick were appointed the Executive. The meeting then terminated.
