LADY DOCTORS IN FRANCE.

A "strike" of quite a novel character has occurred at Montrenil, one of the suburbs of Paris. Some few days ago a dispensary was opened, and five of the local physicians offered to attend in turn. The Mayor, however, decided to appoint a lady doctor as well. At this proposition the gentlemen took umbrage, declaring that if anybody was to be added to the list it should be one of their own colleagues. At the present moment the dispensary is being attended three times a week by a retired physician, who volunteered his services, and the fair lady who caused the discussion.
