HE Owing to the harvest there was only at limited attendance at the Rangiora sales. There was an entry of 1500 Bheep, 105 cattle, and 90 pigs, all of ■ whioh were sold. Butchers' crossbred wethera lis 6d to 12s 6d, do ewea 8s to 8a 6d, fab lambs 10s 6d to 11a 6d, crossbred hoggets 7s 6d to 8s 6d, do breeding ewes 7a 6d to 8s 6d, do BtOre lambs Ss to 9s Id ; cattle, beef equal to 20s per 1001b, springers. £4 10s to £6, dry cows £2 10s to £3 10-, two-year and three-year-old steers £4 14s 6d to £4 16s 6d, eighteen months to two-year-old £3 10s to £3 IBs, yearlings to eighteen months £2 to £2 16s, calves 25s to 30s ; pigs, light baconers 30s to 375, porkers 15s, 17s to 28s, good stores 13s to 14s, small do 8s to 93, weaners 4s to 6s j woolly sheepskins 39 to 3s 6d, pelts Is to ls lid, chick wheat 3s to 3s 2d per bushel, new oats is 6d to ls Bd, barley 2s 6d to 2s 7d, old oata ls 8d to 2s, ornshed do 2s 4d to 2s sd, sharps 6a 6d per bag, bran 4s, flour (farmers) 18s, do guaranteed 20s, fowls ,- Is 6d to 3s, duoks 2s to 2s Sd, geese 2s 9d to 3a. Yesterday at the Tinwald yards there was a large yarding of stock and an average attendance of farmers considering ' that harvest is now. commencing. There were about 10,000 sheep and 100 head of cattle. The sheep were made up of crossbred twotooths and store lambs, and there was,a line of fat cattle such as has not been into the yard for some time. Fat crossbred ewea 6s 8d to 8s 6d, do crossbred wethers 10s 5d to lis Id, store two and four-tooths 8s to 10s 6d, store lambs 7s to 7s 9d, merino ewes and lambs 5s lOd all count, orossbred ewes and lambs 7s 2d, beef 20s to 22s 6d per owt, fat steers £7 5s to £5 15s, heifers £4 to £3 2s, '. stores £1 10s to £2 6s, cows £1 6s, dairy oowb £310s to £4 10s, pigs ablate rates. On Monday the monthly sale at tha . - Hinds was held. Very few. sheep came in and few farmers attended, but the sheep were sold to owners' satisfaction.
