THE LATE MR WARWICK WESTON.

The Auckland correspondent of the Otago Daily Times telegraphs that the news of the death of Mr Warwick Western, general manager of the New Zealand Insurance Company, on board the a,s. Rome while on the voyage to Colombo, was received fa Auckland with general regret. The Weetoa family cime to New Zealand in the fifties, and settled in Tarauaki. Mr Warwick VVeeton removed to Auckland at the out* break of the Thames goldnelds. Mc was appointed Inspector for the New Zealand Insuranoe Company, and upon the death of Mr G. P. Pierce wa3 promoted to the position of general manager. The deceased gentleman was unmarried. One of his brothers, Mr Henry VVeatou, ia proprietor of the Taranaki Herald; and hw other brother ia Mr T. 3. VVeeton, barriittr of Ghciatohuroh. ,
