Mr and Mrs A. E Q. Rhodes went South by the express on Tuesday. The Hon. F. and Mrs O'Grady, Sydnoy, are staying in town. Mr A. E. Whitaker, Auckland, is in town. Mr and Mrs Barclay, Invercargill, returned home on Tuesday. Mrs John Studholmo went South by Tuesday morning's express. Mrs Hutton went by the same train. Mr R. Glendining, Dunedin, is in town. The Very Rev. Dr. Watters, President of St. Patrick's College, Wellington, is on a visit to Christchurcn. The Rev. W. Scorgie, of Sb. Peter's, Ferry road, has, with his family,* gone to spend the Christmas holidays in the South. The Rev. A. W. Averill, of St. Michael's, leaves on Monday on a holiday visit to the Weec Coast. The Hon. J. M'Kenzie's name appeared in the Hat of passengers from Wellington by the Flora on Tuesday. Ths Rev. Mr Findlay was a passenger for Wellington by the Penguin on Tuesday. The Revs. Messrs Wood aud M'Kenzie left for the North by the Takapuna yesterday. Sir Francis Dillon Bell arrived at Wellington yesterday by the Mararoa. Professor Pitt Cobbecb and Judge Cooper came from Sydney by the same steamer. Mr T. N. Uorsley returned from Auckland yesterday. Mr A. E. Cohen arrived from Dunedin by the express last night. Mr 15. Joel arrived from Dunedin by the same train.
