At Wellington yesterday, at a meeting of the Council of the Institute of Accountants, the question of holding examinations was fully gone into, and it was resolved that the first examination should be held in May, 1896, when onty those seeking admission as Fellows should sit. It was also agreed that the questions in mathematics and law should not be too stiff, but that the purely accountancy side of the paper should be of -a high standard.
