UNITED v SYDENHAM.
Once again on Saturday cricketers were greeted with weather that was not at all tnggeative of cricket, for although the rain h*id off a cold wind made things very unpleasauc far those fieldsmen who had not much to do. The ground, too, was very sodden, aud all in favour of the bowlers. After a fairly close game the U.U.C. were returned wionors by four wiokeU. The new cub, with three wickets down for 43 in ! their second innings, only reached the total of m. Halley w« top scorer with 29, and Maione aud Treloar aUo reached doubles. Smith's trundling was too good for the rest, and he secnred the fine average of ten wickets for 43. Requiring 53 to win, the U.C.C. lost six wickets in getting the runs, Uelmore and Medlow beiug the only ones to offer much opposition. The following are the scores :— SYDENHAM.
