GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
In the Legislative Council in the after* noon, the galleries were agaiu cleared during tho discussion on Chiueso. The Westland and Nelson Reserves Act Amendment Bill was road a third time. The Liquor Sale Control Bill was further considered in Committee. Iv the evening the Liquor Sale Control Bill was discussed in Committee till the Council adjourned.
In the House of Representatives, in tho afternoon, the following Bills were read tho second time:—Teachers' Court of Appeal, Stock Amendment, Impounding Act Amendment, and Water Supply Act Amendment. The second reading of the Fair Rent Bill occupied the remainder of the sitting. In the evening the second reading was carried. The Stock Act Amendment Bill, the Teachers' Court of Appeal Bill and the Water Supply Bill were passed. The House rose at a quarter-past one o'clook.
