NEW BRIGHTON TROTTING CLUB.
The annual general meeting of members of the New Brighton Trotting Club was held ac the Empire hotel last night. There was a fairly large atteudance of members, and Mr Hugh Ijl'llwraith, President of the Club, occupied tho chair. Tho balance-sheet showed that the receipts for the year had been £675 23, while the expenditure was £550 0s 6i, leaving a credit balance of £125 2s 6d. The assets of tbo Club aro £144 19s, and the liabilities are nil. It was agreed that for the future only two passes shall be issued to owners of horses accepting for events decided at the club's meetings. The Secretary's salary was fixed at fifteen guineas per meeting. The following officials' were appointed:—President, Mr Hugh M'llraith; Vice-Presidenfc, Mr G. H. M'HaiSa; Committee, Messrs J. S. Siade, T. Marr, J. Carl, J. S. Williams, J. ThomeoD, J. Collie and C. D. Morris; Honorary Treasurer, llr J. Carl; Auditor, airM'Kcllar. After votes of thanks had been accorded to the retiring officers and the Chairman, the meeting closed.
