Ths Rev. Fathers Ginaty and Bowers were passengers by the Southern express yesterday moraiag. Mr J. W. M. Marchant, Commissioner of Crown Lands, returned yesterday from his visit of inspection of the West Coast road. Mr P. Marshall, of Lincoln College, was in town yesterday. Major Youog, of Winchester, was at Templeton yesterday afternoon. Mr Shields, of the Massey.Harris Company, was a passeuger from Ashburton to Dunedin yesterday. His Honour Judge Ward, was in Ashburton yesterday, and went South by the express. The Hoa. E. C. J. Stevens is a passenger from Wellington by the Penguin.
