MR TIBBS' PETITION.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —Will you kindly let me draw the attention of the citizens of Christchurch to my petition, asking for the refunding of the money paid to them, amounting to one pound sterling, for twelve months' license, and also for money paid to them for monthly permits. This is all lam asking for of them. In regard to the fine and costs, I leave that to justice to decide, which has proved since that fish and fruit ate perishable, and it requires no license to sell them. And more than that, there is no Act in the Statute for the Council to make their own Jbyedaws.—Yours, &c, George Tibbs, Fishmonger. Christchurch.
