Tuesday. October 23. (Before C. A Wray, E-q., S.M.) Drunkenness. — A first offender, for being drunk whilst in cbage of a horse, was fined 20s without costs. Alleged Assault. — Eli Mitchell v Albert Franks; Mr Salmond' for complainant, Mr Hay for defendant. The defendant was fined 20s and costs £3 17s. Civil Cases.—J. F. Douglas v J. Davis, 6_U_q 87s | -jadfment- for pl___.«i&» tfs M
with costs. Ashby, Bergh and Co. v W. Hopkinson. Mr Salmond for plaintiff. Evidence was taken ior transmission .to Christchurch on tbe application of defendant, costs being fixed at £119s.
