WELLINGTON.
(press association telegram.) WELLINGTON, October 19. Iα order to meet the deficiency, the Synod decided to devote the offertories on one Sunday in November to the general fund, also to issue a circular explaining the financial position and need of a special effort to equalise the finances. The Committee appointed to look into the matter considered the present position had been brought about by the want of organisation, and could see no hope of au amendment unless funds wore provided to enable a Secretary to devote the whole of his time to the Church iund.
