WELLINGTON, May 28. Mary Smith, seed five years, a daughter of Mr J. F. Smith, Manganoho, waa shot dead by her brother, nine years. Two loaded guns were standing in the porch of the house, and aa the child stooped to tie her shoe, her brother accidentally discharged one of the guns, shooting her in the lungs and throat. She died in a quarter of an hour.
