OTHER MATCHES.
Albion Third beat Linwood Fourth by 14 to 3 points. A team of the Permanent Artillery, on Wednesday, beat a mixed team from the Lyttelton Club by 9 points (thrae tries) to 6 points (two tries). The Christchurch Association Club held an enjoyable practice match on Saturday afternoon.
A meeting of tbe Ashburton Football Club was held on Friday evening, Mr J. Wilson presiding; Correspondence was read from Sydenham, Kaiapoi, Timaru, Lincoln College, and Leeaton Club.*. A letter was also read from the HokAtika. Football Club, intimating that arrangements would be made so as to play a match in Ashburton during the month of July. It was decided to guarantee £8 towards the expenses. It was decided to send a team fto play East Christchurch on June 2nd.
