Thb New Zealand Farmers' Co-ofbra-tiyb Association of Canterburt, Limitbd, report for the week ending Friday, April 27th, 1894, as follow* :— A fair amount of business has been pass-' ing in grain and produce during the week. The quantity of old wheat in growers' hands is limited, and moves off steadily. In new wheat, although the market is firmer, the sales are limited, as growers are offering very sparingly, and Drime quality is scarce. Oats suitable for Btome shipment maintain their value, and feed descriptions have rallied slightly, the deliveries from the country being light. Barley is rapidly going into consumption, and stocks are now within narrow compass. Beans and peas are without change. Ryegrass and cocksfoot are steady at late quotations. Potatoes are changiug hands freely on the basis of 27s 6d to 32s 6d, country stations. Dairy produce is without change. Present quotations, f.o.b. Lyttelton, sacks extra :—
Wheat—Old Pearl and Tuscan, 2s 8d ; Hunter's, 2s 7d; new crop, Iβ lid to 2s 3d. Oats —Milling Canadians, Is 7d to Is 8d ; •hort feed, Is 6d; Duns, Iβ 6d ; Danish, Iβ 4d to Iβ sd, Barley Prime malting, 3s B<3. to 4b s medium-. 3s -co 3s 6d s inferior, 2s to Z* Od : Cape. 2s Id to 2s 3d. Blue Peas—2a 6d to 2a 9d j partridge, 2s 8d to 2s 3d. Fotatoee—27s 6d to 3Q3 at country statiODß. Rye Grass-—Old pasture machine-dressed, 4s 3d*; ordinary, 6a 3d to 4a; farmer*' samples, 2s 6d to 3s. Cockifoot-151bperbuihel, 4Jd; lighter, 3dto4d. Cheese —Large, 4d ; loaf, 4Jd. Butter-Prime fresh, 3d; salt, 61
Bacon and Hams—9d. Oaten Sheaf Chaff, 62s 6d f.0.b., sacks in.
The New Zealand Loax and Mercantile Agbnct Company, Limited, reports for the week ending April 27th, 189*.— Wheat—Local millers are operating freely at full values, when good samples are offered, but growers as a rule prefer to bold for the present. Current quotations are :— Old Tuscan and pearl 2s 6d to 2s 7d, Hunter's 2s 5d to 2s 6d, new 2s 2d to 2s 3d f.ab., sacks extra. O&ts—-Our quotations are fully maintained in this market, and there are indications of a better inquiry. We quote:— Milling Is 7d to Is Bd, heavy feed Is 6d to Is 7d, long and ordinary Is 3d to Is 5d per bushel f.0.b., sacks extra. Barley—Best inaltiag when offered commands 33 9d to 4s, medium 3s to 3s 6d, thin Is 6dto2s 6d per bushel delivered, sack* extra. Beans and Peas—Quotations are without alteration and very little business is passing. Ryegrass —Demand has fallen off until spring sowing commences. Best machinedressed old pasture is valued at 3s 9d to 4s 3d, farmers' parcels 2s 6d to 3s per bushel delivered. Cocksfoot—Machine-dressed 4sd to s£d, original seed 2|d to 3id per lb delivered.
