The annual meeting «.«i u>is Corps was held at the Orderly Kooui. Curistchurch, ou Tuesday evening, Capuiiu Palairet presiding, Major Slater and Lieutenant Snow were also present. There was au excellent attendance of members, over three-fourths being present. ■ ■ ■ Captain Pai.,aiiiet spoke of the weariness of waiting which had been the lob of volunteers, whilst as volunteers they must, as in duty bound, bow to superior authority, but be (Captain Palairet) must admit it was weary waiting year after year for the reorganisation so much needed to render them an efficient force. --■ : . Lieutenant Snow; then read the balaucesheet, which showed the receipts to be £-74 5s lOii and the expenditure £76 Is 7d, leaving a balance to debit of 15s 9J. The total assets were £216 and the balauce of assets over liabilities was £181 5a 9d. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Hon. Secretary, Sergeant H. P. Slater; Treasurer, Lieutenant. Snow ; armourer. Trooper Mahduey j storekeeper, Tropper.Cairns ; auditor, Corporal Ridley ; Financial Committee, Sergeaut Berlaud, Corporal Gibson, Corporal Mooney and Trooper Roper ; Firing Committee, Sergeant Berland, Corporal Gibson, : Troopers Hackett, Hill and Mahoney : delegates to Range,. Committee, Captain Palairet; and Sergeant Berland. Qnptain Palairet apologised , for the absence of Surgeon Irving, who at the last moment was unable to attend. A hearty vote of thanks to Major Slater, Captain Palairet aad Lieutenant Snow, for the work they have done for the corps during the past year was passed unanimously, aud terminated the proceedings.
