A. LAWRENCE IN REPLY.

XO THK IDITOft Or THB PKMS. Sib,- —The writer of the letter over the signature "B. W. Pratt" seems . moat anxious to draw mc into; the discussion, ! even after Mr Martin's public statement that I was not in any way responsible for the statement made in the Home letter. But who is Mr Pratt ? His name is not mentioned in connection with any work in I the Baptist denomination, and I 1 am quit? I sure he is no authority on the subject he is ■trying to write about. I believe, however, he is a member of the Tabernacle, Oxford terrace, and if the three deacons of that church who sipned the firat letter that opened this subject will acknowledge him as their champion, I shall then be most happy to fully discuss the matter wilh him.— Yours. &c, I Alfred Lawkknce. St. Albana, January 17th.
