Hi Baxter was charged with not having registered his sheep brand, and with tawing in hie possession 180 sheep indistinctly branded. Hβ was fin-ad 40* on the fine charge and one penny per head on the 180 unbranded sheep, together with oosta. Civil. Cases.—W. H. Collins and Co. v J. C. Cieary, claim £J, 17e 5d cash lent; judgment for plaintiff with coats. W. H. CollinsandCo. vG.H. Bryant. MrPnrnellfor plaintiff, and Mr Cuthbertson for Jasses Leeson*. This was' an interpleader ease. Collins had a judgment against Bryant for £9 16s Bd, and bad seized a cart under the judgment. Leeaon claimed the barb as his property. He g&ye evidence saying that he had made the cart to Mrs Bryant's order. He had taken it back to make some alterations, and had given the use of it for A time to George Bryant's brother. While it was in the latter'a possession the bailiff of the Court seized it in satisfaction of a judgment Collins had against George Bryant. No part of the : /purchase money had been paid. Mrs Bryant stated that she had purchased the cart from Leeson, and that her husband had nothing whatever to do with the transaction. George Bryant gave corroborative evidence. W. H. 00lFins said Leeson had come to him and asked to be supplied with timber to build a cart for George Bryant. He supplied the timber. Leeson had told him several times the cart was for George Bryant, and had never mentioned Mrs Bryant's name in connection with the trap. A. M. Pearson, the Court bailiff, said that when he seized the trap George Bryant was .standing close by, and he believed it was then in hie possession. His Worship gave judgment for the execution creditor, with coats; ;
