CANTERBURY v DUNEDIN ENGINEERS.
The annual match between teams representing the Canterbury and Dunedin Engineers was fired at Bromley on Tuesday morning, the conditions being seven shots at 200, 300, and 500 yards. Only the first, two ranges could be fired, as the visitors had to return by the express. At the close tbe visitors were leading by 20 points. The following are the individual scores :— Doxedik Engineers—Sergeant Barton, 28, 22—50; Engineer Dunne, 28, 21—49; Corporal Bryant, 25, 20—45 ; Engineer Cable, 22, 23—45; Eugineer Ure, 23, 16— 44; Lieutenant Barclay, 22,21—43; Bugler Prentice, 27, 16—43 ; Sergeant Russell, 23, 18—41; Engineer Routledge, 22, 14—36; Lance-Corporal Beadle, 22, 10—32. Total, 428. Canterbury Engineers—Sergeant-Major Midgley, 27,23—50; Lance-Corporal Watts, 29, 18—47 ; Sapper Swanston, 28, 18—46 ; Sergeant Middleton, 24, 21—45; Sapper Morrow, 24, 21—45; Sapper Parker, 22, 22—44; Sapper Meikleham, 23, 17—40;
